Jackson County is located in the Great Smoky Mountains of NC. Sylva is the county seat, and Court is held at the Jackson County Justice Center, located just off Highway 19/74. The beautiful former Courthouse sits at the top of the hill in Downtown Sylva, at the end of main Street, and is currently used by the Jackson County Sheriff Department.
